Build A School In Africa Project 7th Annual Benefit Shows - Saturday, April 12th, 7:30pm, Cronin Auditorium, Rte 111, Harvard, MA & Sunday, April 13th, 7:30pm, Dance Complex, Cambridge, MA

Music and dance from Africa, featuring drummers from Mali's Troupe Baden'Ya, the Teriya Dancers, and Troupe Teranga, with special guest performances. Admission: $15 adults, $5 children under 12. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the "Build A School In Africa" Project, which is collaborating with Save The Children to construct our fourth new school in Southern Mali, West Africa. SambaLolo, featuring Boubacar Diabate, West African Griot from Mali, combines traditional rhythms with modern influences to form a unique style of contemporary Malian Griot music. Singing in Bambara, Diabate tells stories of common shared human experiences such as of love, life and humanity. Through the age-old West African tradition of Griot storytelling, Diabate brings the audience on a musical journey that is embellished with accents of Jazz, Blues and Reggae.
